This analysis system, based on the SoundID described technology, compares a set of timestamped sound clip fingerprints with different reference streams to identify and possibly confirm whether there are matches between the clips and one of the streams. The sound clips are recorded by a mobile application installed on the smartphones of the volunteer panel members, and it regularly provides timestamped fingerprints to the analysis service.
